Capacitive touch keyboards
A capacitive touch sensor is a device that behaves much like a push button, but can be activated with little or no pressure.
Capacitive touch sensor operation
This type of tactile sensor measures the capacitance variation. The sensory area and the human body act as a capacitor and thus form a system that stores a charge of electricity.
By reducing the distance, the capacitance increases and the system stores more load. This load accumulation can be detected in the sensory area and generate a digital signal when it exceeds a threshold.
